Your library stays on your Mac
The Accordic app reads your AI tools on your Mac: skills, plugins, MCP servers, rules, agents and commands. It keeps your library, its history and its usage counts on your Mac. It does not send that content to us.
Two exceptions apply. Once a day, the app sends us the names of the public items you have, the ones that came from a marketplace or with an AI app, so Discover can show how many Accordic users use an item. It never sends your own or your team's items. We show a count only when at least 5 people use the item. To stop it, turn off Settings, General, Share which public items I use.
The second sorts your own items into categories. The app sends us the name and the short description of each of your own and your team's items, and never their files. We pass them to Cloudflare Workers AI for that request, and we keep neither. To keep them on your Mac, turn off Settings, General, Sort my items with AI. The app then sorts them on your Mac with a word list.
The app never sends a secret value, such as an API key in an MCP setting, to us.
What we keep
- Your account: your name, your email address, and the sign-in method you use.
- Your devices: the name of each Mac, the app version, when the Mac was last seen, and its sign-in tokens. We keep a token only in a form that cannot be used to sign in.
- Your team: if you create or join one, its name, its members with their names, email addresses and roles, the invites the Owner sends, and the billing state. Stripe keeps the payment details.
- Shared items: when a member shares an item with the team, its files, its name, who shared it, and each version. Only members of that team can read them. The app and our service refuse a file that holds a secret value.
- Public items you use: the list of public catalog items that your Mac last reported, while Share which public items I use is on. We delete it when you turn that off or delete your account.
- About you: the kind of work you do and who you work for, if you answer these questions in the app. We use them to count our users by kind of work, and the app uses them to show the right things. Change or clear them in Settings, Account. We delete them when you delete your account.
- Error reports: when a write or a tool fails on your Mac, the app sends the tool, its version, the error code, the Accordic version and the device id. It never sends file content, paths or item names. Our service logs keep each report for at most 7 days. To stop the reports, turn off Settings, General, Send error reports.
Who helps us
- Cloudflare runs our service and this website, keeps its logs and the files of shared items, serves the app downloads and updates, and sends the sign-in code and team invite emails. The app checks for updates once an hour.
- Neon runs our database in the United States.
- WorkOS handles sign-in.
- Stripe handles team payments. We never see your card number.
- Cloudflare Workers AI sorts the names and short descriptions of your items into categories, while Sort my items with AI is on.
- PostHog counts visits and clicks on this website. The app does not use PostHog.
We do not sell your data, and we do not show ads.
Export your data
In the app, go to Settings, Account, Export my data. The app writes a ZIP file to your Downloads folder. It holds what we keep about you, and the files of the items that you shared.
Delete your data
In the app, go to Settings, Account, Delete my account. We delete your account, your devices, their tokens and your team membership at once. The items that you shared stay with your team as "Shared by a former member". If you own a team, first make another member Owner, or delete the team. The files on your Mac stay; you remove the app to remove them.
You can also write to us by email from the address of your account. We then delete your account, your devices, their tokens and your team membership within 30 days.
When the member who shared an item, or the Owner, removes it from the team, its versions leave our servers at once, and its files leave our storage within 30 days, except a file that another item of the team still uses. The copies on each Mac stay.
When the Owner deletes a team, its shared items leave our servers, and their files leave our storage within 30 days. The copies on each Mac stay.
